This is the workspace for developing Smart People magazine collaboratively. You may make changes directly to the Chapters. If you do, however, please notify the others you have made the changes. Some have suggested it would be better to suggest the changes and then collaborate with Boris and Jerry in actually making the changes. Your choice.

Editing Schedule: SP Business Plan

January 12-23, 2009

• This schedule is designed to allow three days discussion and editing per Chapter.
• The three-day periods overlap in order to complete the work in two weeks.

Ideally participants will visit the wiki each day:

• learn what new chapter is under discussion,
• participate in comments/changes relating to the new chapter,
• add to comments/changes relating to the two previous chapters already discussed.

Schedule

• Monday: Chapter 2
• Tuesday: Chapter 3 (continue 2)
• Wednesday: Chapter 4 (continue 2 & 3)
• Thursday: Chapter 5 (continue 3 & 4)
• Friday: Chapter 6 (continue 4 & 5)

• Saturday/Sunday: Catch up time.

• Monday: Chapter 8 (+ continue 5 & 6)
• Tuesday: Chapter 9 (+ continue 6 & 8)
• Wednesday: Chapter 10 (+ continue 8 & 9)
• Thursday: Chapter 11 (+ continue 9 & 10)
• Friday: Chapter 1 (+ continue 10 & 11)

(NOTE: Chapter 7 has been left out since it will not be fleshed out until a personal financial statement is needed for marketing purposes.)

This schedule is not intended to limit the editing project to the two weeks. It is only intended to get as much accomplished (and in as orderly a fashion as possible) In the two week time period.

Individually, people may continue to add to the results after the two weeks are concluded.

SP Magazine Content

We've had a suggestion that one approach would be to develop the product before the Business and Marketing plans. It wouldn't hurt to start now by developing an overview of content and a Content Page for the first issue. That way our vision would become more tangible.
