What is your vision for SP; why do you participate

I don't yet have a strong vision. I like Jerry's work and our backgrounds and interests overlap in some areas. I am least comfortable with the "smart people" label, and most enthused about making important thinking accessible and compelling for a wide audience.

Tell us about you

Eclectic, scholar-practitioner, self-employed, spending more time on interesting volunteer things than on paid work, completing a PhD that probably relates to the content of this proposed publication, parent, wife, quiet provocateur, live in W. Canada, starting to plan next phase of (post graduation) life.

    Just scanned the member list again, and it struck me that we seem to have a lot more "smart" men than "smart" women. I wonder if that means anything?

    It's Jan 12, and I just got back early this morning from Santa Barbara. The 9 or so days started off as 14 hour days and got more intense all week! Good to be back, but I'll be in catch up (work and sleep) mode for a while. I'll try to contribute a bit here.
